In All We Like Sheep, Lessons from the Sheepfold, my mother and I share our stories and how these experiences have taught us to apply God’s truth to our spiritual and personal lives. Readers tell us our storytelling format is enjoyable and inspirational. The practical applications in Biblical passages about sheep and shepherds become as relevant today as they were to the agrarian society to which the Scriptures were originally written.

Sheep were abundant and familiar during Bible times, making them and their activities good metaphors for spiritual teaching. More important, the very nature of sheep provides dozens of lessons, both positive and negative, where a seeker’s or believer’s life parallels what we see in the sheepfold. Our collective experience, which includes raising sheep commercially for seven decades, concludes that there is a very good reason sheep and shepherds are referred to in Scripture far more than any other animal or caretaker.

In All We Like Sheep, Lessons from the Sheepfold (Isaiah 53:6), it is our honor to share the lessons and parallels from Scripture in a devotional format for modern life. Stories include sad, thoughtful, funny and thought-provoking real stories. Readers will no longer have to wonder why sheep do what they do or if they are as stupid and some say they are.

Each chapter is a story from our personal experience and includes a Scripture verse or passage relating to the lesson, a lesson application, questions for thought or group discussion, and a concluding prayer. All We Like Sheep, Lessons from the Sheepfold is suited to either personal or group study. This book also makes a wonderful gift.
